DroNet is a drone services company focusing on providing fast and reliable surveys, inspections and modelling of assets for construction and asset management companies.

Survey

3D Textured Mesh

A 3D mesh is the structural build of a 3D model consisting of polygons. 3D meshes use reference points in X, Y and Z axes to define shapes.

Volume Calculation

Generate 3D visualization for calculating stockpile, cut and fill dimensions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀

Contour Lines

Contour lines are lines drawn on a map connecting points of equal elevation. Contour lines show elevation and the shape of the terrain.

Digital Elevation Model

3D computer graphics representation of elevation data to represent terrain.
⠀⠀⠀⠀

Mapping

Aerial photograph or satellite imagery geometrically corrected ("orthorectified") such that the scale is uniform. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

Plot Line

To obtain demarcation paths, buildings, roads and curbs.

INSPECTIONS

RESIDENTIAL

DroNet provides a complete roof condition inspection that includes a virtual 3D model, videos and detailed photographs of all roof areas including eaves and gutters. We can inspect after storms, where the roof could be damaged, and the inspection images can be used for insurance claims for faulty workmanship or warranties claims. We can identify issues on the roof such as missing leaf guards, loose or broken tiles, loose or missing guttering, leaf accumulation, blocked drains, rot or mould and pest issues such as pigeon roosts.

COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL

DroNet surveys commercial buildings ranging from offices, schools and healthcare facilities to industrial buildings and warehouses. We can conduct visual structural surveys and surveys to produce 3D models of buildings. We can inspect roofscapes containing considerable assets, such as solar panels, air handling equipment, green roof systems and waterproofing membranes. Those assets need to be frequently checked for warranty purposes and to ensure their integrity was not affected by storm damage or debris. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Case Study

Brief – Client received a complaint of overflowing gutter on their building.

Client Needs – to inspect gutter to find the problem in order to take actions.

Characteristics –

  • 2 levels building
  • 90 linear metres of gutter
  • Access only using extended ladder

During the inspection

  • Spotted all blocked points in the gutter
  • Discovered damages in the tiles and ridge
  • Found antenna bended

Results

  • DroNet generated a report with images of the gutter and roof conditions.
  • Unexpected issues were found during the inspection.
  • Using the imagery from a single flight, the client could get quotes for three different services.
  • Client identified earlier a potential issue and could act to prevent future consequences.
